Product pages and business buying
Reading a product page — tabs, options, prices and photos — and buying for a business: tax certificates, receipts and bulk.
Reading a product page
What tabs are on a product page?
Specifications, Ingredients and How to Use where the product has them, Condition comparison where we have both kinds of photo, and Shipping & Returns on every product.
What is the Condition comparison tab?
Two photos side by side: the manufacturer's image of the product, and "The item you get" — our photo of the actual unit on sale.
What does "The item you get" mean under a photo?
That photo shows the very unit we are selling, not the manufacturer's picture of the model.
Where are a product's ingredients listed?
On the Ingredients tab of the product page, for products such as skincare and food that have them recorded.
Where do I find how to use a product?
On its How to Use tab, when the product has directions recorded. Otherwise check the maker's manual or website.
What do "Starting offer price" and "Selected offer price" mean?
A product sold in several options shows the lowest option's price until you pick one, then the price of the option you selected.
What does "Direct checkout price" mean?
The product has a single option, so that is simply the price you pay for it before fees, tax and delivery.
Why does a product page ask me to pick a condition?
Its units come in more than one condition, each with its own price, so choose the one you want before adding it to your cart.
Can each option of a product be delivered differently?
Yes. Pickup, shipping or both is set for each option, so check the delivery choices after you select one.
Why is there no shipping box on some product pages?
Those products are collection only, so the page does not offer a postage estimate. Their weight and size are still listed.
Can I see a product without opening its page?
Yes. Use quick view on a product card to see its photos, price and options in a pop-up, then open the full page if you want more.
What does "Sold out" mean on a product?
Every unit has sold for now. Save it with the heart or save a search to hear about new stock.
What is the Deal of the Day?
A product we pick to feature on the home page for its value. It is sold on the same terms as everything else.
What is a bundle listing?
Several units or items sold together at one price. The listing's title and notes say what is included.
Why do some listings show a manufacturer's photo first?
So you can recognise the product at a glance. The photos of the actual unit follow, and they are what you are buying.
Buying for a business
Can I buy from DealsDMV for my business?
Yes. Open an account through a person with authority to bind the business, and buy as normal — auctions, Buy Now or offers.
Do business buyers pay sales tax?
The same as anyone, unless you give us a valid resale or exemption certificate before you pay.
Can a nonprofit buy without paying sales tax?
Only with a valid exemption certificate given to us before payment. Without one, Maryland tax applies where the law requires.
Can I get a receipt for my business records?
Yes. Every order has an electronic receipt on its order page, which counts the same as paper and can be printed or saved.
Can I pay with a company card?
Yes. Any card we accept can be used, including a company card saved to your account.
Do business purchases come with warranty rights?
No. Business and resale purchases are sold as is, with all faults; the Maryland implied warranties are for household buyers.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Bulk buying happens through our lots, which sell several units together, and through offers on items that accept them.
Can my driver collect a business order?
Yes. Tell us first from the order page by choosing "Someone else collecting", and send them with the order number.
