Watchlist, messages and the app

Saving items, watchlist reminders, asking us a question, the AI Store Assistant, and installing the DealsDMV app on your phone.

Saving and following items

How do I save an item to look at later?

Tap the heart on its card or page to add it to your watchlist. You need to be signed in.

Will I be told when a lot on my watchlist is about to end?

Yes, by email shortly before it closes — once per lot, so you are not reminded twice.

Can I see the items I looked at recently?

Yes. The site keeps the lots you have recently viewed on your account, so you can find them again.

Can I save Buy Now items as well as auction lots?

Yes. Your watchlist keeps both the lots you are watching and the products you have saved.

Asking us something

How do I ask a question about an item?

Use the question box on the item's page and press Send question. Our reply arrives in your messages.

Where do I read replies from DealsDMV?

On your messages page, where every conversation with us — item questions, contact-form enquiries and chats passed to a person — is kept together.

Can I send photos with a question?

Yes, from the contact page: attach photos with your message and we reply to your email.

Do I need an account to contact you?

No. The contact form takes a name and email from visitors without an account too.

What is the Store Assistant?

An AI chat in the corner of the shop that answers questions about items, policies and orders. Its answers can be wrong; the listing, your orders page and our Terms are what count.

Can the Store Assistant pass me to a real person?

Yes. Ask for a person and it sends your whole conversation to our team as a message; the reply appears on your messages page.

Does the Store Assistant keep my conversation?

The conversation stays in your browser tab, not with us, unless you ask to be passed to a person. What you type is sent to Google's Gemini service to write each reply.

What should I not type into the Store Assistant?

Card numbers, passwords and other private details. Its text is handled by Google under Google's own terms.

Can the Store Assistant change my order?

No. It answers questions and can pass you to a person; anything said in a chat does not change our Terms or your order.

The site on your phone

Is there a DealsDMV app?

Yes, an app you install from the website itself. Press Download app in the header or the phone menu to put it on your device.

How do I install the DealsDMV app on an iPhone?

iPhones cannot install a website by itself, so the Download app button shows you the steps: in Safari, use Share, then Add to Home Screen.

How do I install the app on Android or a laptop?

In Chrome or Edge, press Download app and accept your browser's install offer. The app then opens like any other.

Why don't I see the Download app button?

It hides inside the installed app itself, and in a browser that reports the app is already installed.

Can I bid and buy from my phone?

Yes. Everything on DealsDMV — bidding, Buy Now, checkout, pickup check-in — works in a phone browser or the installed app.

Can DealsDMV send alerts to my phone?

Yes. Phone alerts tell you when you are outbid, win, or an order is ready. Turn them on from your account page, where you also choose which kinds reach your phone.

How do I get phone alerts on an iPhone or iPad?

Add DealsDMV to your Home Screen first: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open the site from that icon and turn alerts on.

Why does the site say alerts are blocked for DealsDMV?

Your browser or phone is set not to show our notifications. Allow notifications for this site in your browser or phone settings, then come back and turn alerts on.

Why can't I turn on phone alerts in my browser?

Some browsers cannot show alerts from websites at all, and the account page says so when yours is one. Another browser on the same device may work.

Do phone alerts turn on for all my devices at once?

No. Each phone, tablet or computer is switched on separately; the account page tells you whether alerts are on for the device you are using.

Do phone alerts stop when I sign out?

Yes, on that device. Signing out stops it showing your alerts, so the next person to use it does not see them.

Why does a card ask me to turn on phone alerts?

It asks signed-in shoppers at most once a day, waits two weeks after you press Not now, and never asks again once alerts are on.

Does the site work in dark mode?

Yes. Thesite can be shown in a light or dark theme, and remembers your choice on that device.
